A planning application to convert a former Harrogate restaurant into a Greek street food venue has been submitted.
The change of use plan, which was lodged to North Yorkshire Council in July, seeks approval to turn the former Fabulous 50s Diner unit into a Greek takeaway and bar.
The Bower Road site closed suddenly in January after the American-themed diner was issued enforcement notices just two years after opening.
The notices, issued by Wilson & Roe High Court Enforcement, said authorised agents had “re-entered the land” on behalf of the landlord.
The site has remained closed since.

But the fresh plans suggest there could be a new lease of life at the unit.
A design and access statement says the proposed site, which will be run by Ange Pitta Star Ltd, will be a “relaxed and comfortable" single room-operation with a “theatre cooking” kitchen.
It adds food would mainly be served to takeaway, but there would also be a small bar serving drinks and a select few tables both inside and outside.
If plans are approved, the new venture would employ four full-time members of staff.
North Yorkshire Council will make a decision on the application at a later date.
