Police are investigating two separate incidents of dog attacks in the Harrogate district.

The incidents both happened last month and have been shared to the North Yorkshire community messaging page.

The first incident took place in Ripon on August 14 when an American Pitbull caused injuries to other dogs and owners.

It happened at Hell Wath Lane between 6.30pm - 6.40pm. North Yorkshire Police have appealed for CCTV footage.

The force said they are seeking details of the owners of a dog described as an American Pitbull called Roxie. The incident involved two dogs fighting causing injuries to dogs and owners.

The second attack happened in Harrogate, on the cycle path between Granby Meadows and Harrogate High School on August 27 at 2.55pm.

Police said:

The suspect dog is believed to be Staffordshire bull terrier type, walked by a male, and has attacked another dog, its female owner and another female.
