A woman sustained a head injury following an assault in Knaresborough on Friday (October 17).
North Yorkshire Police today (October 20) said the incident, which happened on the High Street near the heritage centre, occurred at around 11.20am.
A woman who was carrying a large blue bag and has been described as white, middle-aged and of large build “intentionally shoved” the female victim.
This caused the victim to fall into the road and suffer a head injury.
The force is now appealing for information:
