Four people were rushed to hospital with suspected spinal injuries following a crash in Kirkby Malzeard last night.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue incident log said firefighters from Ripon, Masham and Bedale were called to the scene at 11.34pm last night, after a Vauxhall Astra hit a tree.
It added:
“Of the four occupants in the vehicle, 3 were extricated by crews via a full door and roof removal.
“All four casualties were taken to hospital via ambulance with suspected C-spine injuries.
“Crews used lighting, stabilisation equipment, small tools, hydraulic spreaders/cutters and sharps protection.”
The incident was left with North Yorkshire Police.
No further details have been revealed.
