The latest addition to Harrogate’s retail scene has opened its doors.

Womenswear brand Nobody’s Child has taken over the former Lucy Pittaway art gallery unit on Prospect Place – on the edge of James Street.

Lucy Pittaway announced in January her Harrogate shop would be closing.

Nobody's Child, which opened yesterday (April 30), is the company's second standalone store in the north of England, after Leeds, but the brand is stocked in stores across the country.

Nobody’s Child is widely known for its dresses, which the Harrogate store has aplenty, but there is also a wide range of tops, skirts, trousers, jackets, shoes and accessories.

There is a wide range of accessories on offer.

The store has six staff, including supervisor Amisha, who told the Stray Ferret:

Nobody’s Child is quite similar but also quite different to other shops on the street. We add a pop of colour!

There is something for everyone and all ages – we find our age range is really broad and we get a lot of different people through the door.

Amisha said the shop was busy on opening day and the reception has so far been positive.

“Even when the builders were still in earlier this week, people were wanting to come in – we had to turn people away”, she added.

Nobody’s Child in Harrogate is open from 9.30am until 5.30pm, Monday to Saturday, and 11am until 5pm on Sundays.
