Production Assistant at Portable Power Ltd.
Portable Power Ltd., a Yorkshire-based manufacturer of Portable Power Packs/Jump Starters, is currently seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our production team.
Role: Production Assistant
Key Responsibilities:
– Follow instructions in production procedures without deviation, while also demonstrating the ability to think independently in other areas of the job.
– Work unsupervised with the ability, drive, and dependability to complete tasks efficiently.
– Long-term position with potential for advancement as the company grows.
– Work collaboratively as part of a team and be proactive in identifying and completing tasks.
– Perform 12-volt DC electrical components’ assembly, requiring dexterity and the ability to lift up to 25kgs dead weight.
– Manage stock: receive, store, and distribute products efficiently.
– Operate forklift as needed. Training will be given.
– Run errands in a company vehicle (driving licence required).
– Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the assembly/production area.
– Package finished products for delivery.
– Assist in preparing orders for delivery and supporting the service department.
– Learn service and warranty procedures, as well as product knowledge to effectively communicate with customers.
– Demonstrate good telephone manners and a pleasant temperament.
Requirements:
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
– Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects.
– Valid driving licence for occasional company vehicle use.
– Excellent communication skills.
– Positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt.
