Harrogate District Hospital has reported another three deaths from patients who tested positive for coronavirus.
NHS England figures show that one death was reported on January 20 and a further two were recorded on January 21.
It takes the covid-related death toll at the hospital from covid since March 2020 to 210.
The Harrogate district reported another 270 cases in to today’s UK Health Security Agency figures.

Latest government figures show that the district’s seven-day covid average stands at 1,075 per 100,000 people, up marginally on yesterday’s figure of 1,073.
However, it remains above the county average, which is 981, and the England rate of 995.
The figures come as the government prepares to lift covid Plan B restrictions on Wednesday. It means mandatory face coverings will no longer be required and vaccine passports for large scale events will be removed.

The hospital reported the death on Tuesday, according to NHS England figures. It takes the covid-related death toll at the hospital to 207.
Meanwhile, the number of patients who have tested positive for covid and being treated at the hospital has fallen to 20 – down by seven on last week.
Today’s figures from the UK Health Security Agency show that another 313 infections have been recorded in the Harrogate district.

Government figures show that the district’s seven-day covid average is 1,061 per 100,000 people, slightly down on yesterday’s figure of 1,078.
It remains above both the county average, which is 976, and the England rate which is 971.
The data also shows that 106,176 booster or third jabs have been given in the Harrogate district, as of today.

It remains below both the county average, which is 1,475, and the England rate is also 1,475.

The data also shows that 105,412 booster or third jabs have been given in the Harrogate district, as of today.
Today, health bosses in North Yorkshire have sought to address fears from people who are hesitant to get the vaccine, in particular pregnant women.

Dr Cath Dixon, executive chair and clinical lead of the Yorkshire Health Network a Federation of the 17 GP practices in the Harrogate district, said:
“Getting a covid vaccine is one of the most important things a pregnant woman can do this year to keep herself and her baby as safe from this virus as possible.
“There is now extensive evidence to show that the vaccines are safe and that the risks posed by covid to mum and baby are far greater. If any mums-to-be are having doubts about vaccination, I would urge them to talk to their midwife or doctor.”
Meanwhile, Knaresborough covid vaccination centre, based at Chain Lane Community Hub, administered its 125,000th jab today.
Officials at the centre reported that 40,000 of its vaccines which were given in November and December alone.
Harrogate District Hospital has recorded another death from a patient who tested positive for coronavirus.
According to NHS England figures, the hospital reported a death on October 28.
It takes the death toll from covid since March 2020 at the hospital to 194.

The Harrogate district’s seven-day covid rate stands at 535 per 100,000 people. The North Yorkshire average is 492 and the England rate is 417.
A total of 130,637 people have received a first covid vaccine in the district and 122,108 have had a second dose.
Today, NHS bosses announced that those eligible for a booster vaccine would be able to attend walk-in clinics.
However, for those in the Harrogate district, the nearest walk-in centre is at Elland Road stadium in Leeds.

Meanwhile, the Harrogate district has reported 130 daily covid cases according to today’s Public Health England figures.
The district’s seven-day covid rate has also fallen to 549 per 100,000 people.
The North Yorkshire average is 445 and the England rate stands at 333.
Speaking last week, Louise Wallace, director of public health for North Yorkshire, said the rise in infections across the county was being “driven by school-age children”.
She said:
“From what we can in the terms of the age bandings from the most recent cases, they do seem to be coming from school children and young people.”
Elsewhere, 128,252 people have received a first covid vaccine in the Harrogate district and 120,590 have had a second dose.

Elsewhere, 127,957 people have received a first covid vaccine in the Harrogate district and 119,918 have had a second dose.

According to latest weekly figures, Harrogate hospital is treating 11 patients for covid — the same number as a week ago.
Elsewhere, 127,221 people have received a first covid vaccine in the Harrogate district and 117,318 have had a second dose.

Meanwhile, 77 covid infections have been reported in the Harrogate district, according to latest Public Health England figures.
The district’s weekly rate has increased slightly to 299 per 100,000 people.
The North Yorkshire rate stands at 274 and the England average is 310.
Elsewhere, 123,688 people have received a first covid vaccine in the Harrogate district and 109,423 have had a second dose.
